In order to change the surge tank, drain the cooling system, take out the surge tank nuts, and loosen the side nut. Take out the inlet and outlet hose, and the heater outlet hose. The hoses should be lubricated with coolant, and the surge tank and hoses installed and the nuts tightened followed by the filling of the cooling system.
