How to replace the rear door check link on 2003 Cadillac Escalade?

In order to fit the rear door check, pull off the panel of trim and water deflector on the door. Removal of the strap bolt and plug on the check strap, then remove the nuts on the strap. Install the new check strap and fasten it on the door and body, reassemble the water deflector and trim panel.
