A driver should start the replacement process by taking out the side door stepwell mat. The procedure starts by removing both bolts which hold the lower striker to the stepwell until you can take out the lower striker from the vehicle. Reinstall the lower striker on your vehicle position and use the Fastener Notice as a guideline for installation steps. Secure the lower striker to the stepwell through two bolts that should be tightened to 10 N.m (89 lb in). You need to put back the side door stepwell mat after finishing the installation steps.
