Begin the bulb replacement process by first turning the lamp switch off while waiting for the bulb to reach room temperature. Use protective eyewear while handling the bulb only from its base where you must prevent glass contact with dirt or moisture. Before using the bulb it should get cleaned with alcohol or suitable degreasing solution and each component needs full drying. Begin the replacement procedure by opening the hood to remove both headlamp and access cover at the back. Unplug the electrical connector from the socket after which you should turn the bulb and socket counter-clockwise to extract them from the housing. To replace the bulb and socket you must first position these components into the lamp cavity followed by attachment of the electrical connector until you can twist the parts clockwise to seal them in. Reinstall the access cover with the headlamp completing the task. High beam bulbs should only accept replacement bulbs with a black socket while low beam bulbs need gray tip and gray socket bulbs for installation.
