  A: To clean the Throttle Body, remove the air cleaner outlet duct and air inlet screen where applicable. Examine the Throttle Body bore and the throttle valve plate for deposits, while opening the throttle valve for a full inspection. Do not use immersion cleaners or harsh solvents on assemblies with the throttle position (TP), idling air control (IAC) valve, or sealed throttle shaft bearings as this will damage the electric components, seals or o-rings and possibly wash away grease on non-serviceable bearings. Avoid wire brushes or scrapers that can damage the Throttle Body parts and avoid using cleaners with methyl ethyl ketone. Clean the Throttle Body bore and throttle valve plate with a clean towel and gm top engine cleaner (P/N 1052626) or equivalent. When deposits are too many disassemble the Throttle Body and clean it properly using a parts cleaning brush without submerging in any solvent. Reassemble and install the Throttle Body with the air inlet screen if necessary, and finally, reinstall the air cleaner outlet duct after cleaning.
