Start by removing the handle grip screws and liftgate trim panel during tailgate handle replacement. Start by removing the liftgate handle rod retainer and afterward remove the bolts (W705202S) that secure the liftgate outside handle to the liftgate. Finally take out the liftgate outside handle. To start the installation process secure the liftgate outside handle to the liftgate according to Service Precautions Fastener Notice. Use parts W705202S and apply 4 N.m torque (35 lb in) to bolt the handle into place. The liftgate handle rod installation must begin with attaching the rod to the tailgate handle followed by tight retaining before putting back the liftgate trim panel.
