How to replace the front outside door handle on 2002 Chevrolet Prizm?

Starting the front outside Door Handle replacement requires the removal of the front side door water deflector. The rod retainers (3, 6) must be opened while the lock rods (2, 5) need detaching from the outside Door Handle and lock cylinder. After opening the two door bolts the installer removes the outside Door Handle from the door frame. To begin the replacement process it is necessary to take out the bolt and Door Lock Cylinder from outside Door Handle. Secure the Door Lock Cylinder to the outside Door Handle by using the bolt which should be tight at 5.5 n.m (49 lb in). Secure the outside Door Handle onto the door by using two bolts which should be tightened to 5.5 n.m (49 lb in). Secure the outside Door Handle lock rods (2, 5) to the outside Door Handle assembly (3, 6) by using the retainers (3, 6). Install the front side door water deflector as the last step.
