In order to change the generator, unconnect the negative battery cable. Relax the belt tension, unscrew the drive belt and disconnect the generator wire and connector. Take out the generator, and mount the new one using a mounting bolt. Reconnect the wires, install the drive belt and make sure that it is properly tensioned before reconnecting battery cable.
