How to service the knock sensor on 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

To service the Knock Sensor, turn OFF the ignition and put the vehicle up on its jack. Disconnect the wiring harness from the KS and take it out of the engine block. When installing the new KS do not use thread sealant. Install the KS and tighten it and reconnect the wiring harness and lower the vehicle.
