To remove Inflatable Restraint Front End Discriminating Sensor, necessitate deslotting the SIR system to begin with. Model the radiator upper air baffle and deny them the deflector; remove the orange connector position assurance (CPA) from the yellow sensor harness connecter,and separate the sensor harness connecter from the sensor. Then, unbolt the sensor and pull it out from the upper radiator core support . Install the wrong CPA into the orange sensor harness connector. The sensor harness connector must be connectedto the sensor and the orange CPA must be installed in yellow sensor harness connector. Mount the sensor to the upper radiator core support and tighten the sensor bolts to 9 N.m ( 80 lb in). Lastly, turn the SIR system on, and reinstall the radiator upper air baffle and deflector.
