How to service the EGR valve on 2002 Chevrolet Malibu?

In order to service the EGR valve, you need to turn off the ignition and pull out the electrical connector. Unscrew the pipe assembly and EGR valve retaining bolts and remove EGR valve including gasket. Clean the surface to be mounted on, install the mounting gasket and the EGR-valve and reconnect the electrical connector.
