How to replace the exhaust heat shield on 2002 Chevrolet Corvette?

In order to change the exhaust muffler heat shield, one has to remove the muffleler first. Punch the rivets of the heat shield and use the shield with the heat shield washers. Installation To install, assemble the heat shield and washers, and then install additional rivets and lastly install the muffler again.
