Detach the negative Battery Cable as the first step to service the Knock Sensor. Start by removing the engine cover and then disconnect the Knock Sensor harness connector . Disassemble the process by first taking off the Knock Sensor bolt followed by the removal of the Knock Sensor. Install the Knock Sensor first then fasten it with the Knock Sensor bolt while setting the torque to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Service of the Knock Sensor begins by connecting the negative Battery Cable and continues with disconnecting the Knock Sensor harness connector followed by reinstalling the engine cover and completing the sequence by reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
