How to replace the idler arm on 2002 Cadillac Escalade?

As a replacement of the idler arm, assemble the tools and lift the vehicle. Take off the engine protection shield, when fitted and then take out the idler arm off the relay rod. Unscrew the idler arm frame bolts and screw in the new idler arm making sure that it is tight. Install the engine protection shield again and verify the wheel alignment.
