    A: Service and repair operations for the expansion block/A/C orifice tube require the recovery of refrigerant first. To service and repair the expansion block A/C orifice tube you need to use the A/C Orifice Tube Remover (J 26549-E) while working with the evaporator tube fitting nut. Then use the remover to take out the A/C orifice tube from the fitting. Cap or plug the open line. Start the installation process by opening the evaporator tube and use the new O-ring seal for fitting. Fit the short-screened end of the new A/C orifice inside the evaporator tube then attach the evaporator tube fitting before torquing it to 25 N.m (18 lb ft). Use a Halogen Leak Detector (J 39400-A) to test for leaks on the repaired component fittings after the system evacuation and recharge process.
