How to replace the blower motor resistor assembly on 2002 Buick Regal?

Start by taking out the right side instrument panel insulator before changing the Blower Motor resistor assembly. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the Blower Motor resistor and motor while remembering that the Blower Motor resistor has a narrow slot to access its internal components. Remove the forward screws of the front resistor and both screws from the rear resistor before removing the entire Blower Motor resistor. Position the forward retaining slots of the Blower Motor resistor onto screws and place the motor control processor correctly onto the hvac housing to install. Put in the Blower Motor resistor and fasten its rear screw to 1.5 n.m (13 lb in) tension while putting and clamping the forward Blower Motor resistor screws with the same force. Reconnect the electrical components to both the Blower Motor and motor resistor before placing back the right side instrument panel insulator.
