How to service and repair the starter motor on 2002 Buick LeSabre?

To maintain the starter motor, remove the negative cable of the battery and lift up the vehicle. Take out the torque converter cover and then take off the battery positive cable and the wire in the solenoid S terminal. Install the starter motor, remove it and reconnect all the cables and then lower the vehicle and attach the battery negative cable again.
