How to Replace a Front Door Window Regulator (Manual) on 2002 Buick Century?

The replacement of front door window regulators starts with removing the trim panel together with the water deflector. Access the regulator bolts by increasing the window opening enough. Remove these bolts to elevate the window to its highest position while using tape for security. Start by detaching the electrical connector and freeing the four regulator mounting bolts as well as the three regulator motor bolts before extracting the regulator from the door. First attach the door regulator to its position next to the door opening then use the electrical harness to connect the regulator motor. First thread the three regulator motor screws into the regulator motor before attaching the top two bolts onto the regulator rail and the bottom front bolt. Place the regulator rail assembly into key slots inside the door and insert the fourth screw. Install the regulator motor by placing it into the inner metal panel key slots before hanging it inside the door. Tighten all regulator motor bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in) while following the specified tightening order that starts from lower rear then proceeds to upper rear and lower front before finishing with upper front. Fasten the four regulator rail bolts while tightening them to 10 N.m (89 lb in). After removing the tape lower the window and install the two window to regulator bolts while tightening them to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Near the end of the work replace the water deflector along with the trim panel.
