How to Properly Maintain and Fix the Idler Arm on 2001 GMC Jimmy?

To service and fix the idler arm, lift the vehicle using safety stands and take off the steering linkage and the differential carrier shields. Disconnect the idler arm and check the ball stud threads and seal. Install the idler arm again, reconnect the relay rod and tighten everything. Last but not least, lower the car and make adjustment with the front toe.
