Do not allow your fingers to go in front of the Piston when applying compressed air, as it can result in a serious injury; ensure that the air pressure is only enough to help the Piston move, so it does not get damaged. Pull the Piston from the bore, then remove the boot and seal, watching out not to use metal tools or scratch the bore. Then, take off the bleeder valve and cap from the caliper body, and distinctly remove the guide pins along with their sleeves from the anchor bracket. Make sure to clean the bleeder valve, caliper bore, passages, Piston, and the lining contact area on the anchor bracket with denatured alcohol. Afterward, dry the parts completely and use dry, filtered air for blowing out the fluid passages. If you find scoring, corrosion, chrome plating damage, or pitting in the caliper bore, it's necessary to replace the Piston or caliper, while you may polish light corrosion with crocus cloth. After putting the bleeder valve cap back on, tighten the bleeder valve to 12 nm (110 inch lbs.). During assembly, put some clean brake fluid on the new seal, the caliper bore, and the Piston, check the seal isn't twisted, and gently push the boot into the caliper bore by hand. Put the Piston into the caliper bore with your hand, pushing it right to the bottom, and then fasten the boot onto the Piston.
