How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor (7X) on 2001 Chevrolet Venture?

Replace the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor (7X) by starting with ignition off followed by a full crank of the Steering Wheel to left. Rise the vehicle and take off both right tire together with wheel and lower it onto jack stands. Separate the sensor electrical connector before you take out its mounting bolt and sensor from the motor. In cases where the sensor remains in use check it for damage to its components including cracks and wear and leakage. The sensor installation requires o-ring lubrication with engine oil before fitting. Replace damaged o-rings at this time. Follow the fastener notice in service precautions before installing the sensor to the block then put the sensor attaching bolt on before tightening it to 11 n.m (97 lb in). Install the sensor electrical connector after which install right tire and wheel and lower the vehicle. Complete the ckp system variation learn procedure in the closing stage.
