How to replace the rear wheel speed sensor on 2001 Chevrolet Prizm?

You need to remove the rear seat bottom and seat back before replacing the rear Wheel Speed Sensor. Since the Wheel Speed Sensor comes as a single component you should not try to repair its component wires. Pull and set the vehicle with supports before detaching the electric connection to the Wheel Speed Sensor. Take out both pieces of the Wheel Speed Sensor harness pigtail through the vehicle body. First unscrew the bolts attaching the Wheel Speed Sensor to both suspension components and then ease out the entire Wheel Speed Sensor from its mounting position. Connect the Wheel Speed Sensor to its position on the Steering Knuckle and put on the rear Wheel Speed Sensor bolt at 8 nm torque (69 inch lbs). Attach the pigtail harness press fit two nuts and clips at normal points before torquing the nuts to 5 nm. Move the wheel speed cable harness through the vehicle components while fitting the grommet at its location. Connect the Wheel Speed Sensor electrical set and reinstall the seat bottom and backrest while lowering the car. Do the last step as part of the diagnostic system check for the abs .
