How to replace the rear trunk latch on 2001 Chevrolet Prizm?

In order to change the rear compartment lid latch, open the rear compartment and take out the bolts that hold the lock. Disengage the lock cylinder rod and take out lock. Disconnect the release cable, where necessary. To install it, reconnect the cable, reattached the rod, fasten the lock and drop the lid.
