You must disable the sir system before servicing the right impact sensor. First uninstall the rh headlamp assembly then detach the front end discriminating sensor - right electrical connector and the front end discriminating sensor - right fasteners . The next step involves removing the right-side front end discriminating sensor. Install the front end discriminating sensor by putting it into its original position then applying 20 n.m (14 lb ft) torque to the front end discriminating sensor - right fasteners . Reinstall the rh headlamp assembly while also reconnecting the front end discriminating sensor - right electrical connector. Finally, enable the sir system.
