How to replace the left muffler on 2001 Chevrolet Corvette?

The approach to changing the left muffler starts with bolts and nuts from the rear stabilizer shaft bracket before moving to bracket removal and insulator removal then lowering the stabilizer shaft. Take out the left muffler by sliding the muffler blade out from the hanger after unbolted left exhaust muffler bolts and removed the exhaust muffler gasket. Installation of the left muffler starts with blade insertion into the hanger before muffler placement. New muffler gaskets should be installed at this time while left-side exhaust muffler bolts receive torque in increments up to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.). Start by positioning the rear stabilizer shaft in an upward direction. Next, add the rear stabilizer shaft insulators and brackets. Finish by installing the rear stabilizer shaft bracket bolts and nuts and torque them to 65 Nm (49 ft. lbs.) for bolts and 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.) for nuts.
