How to replace the alternator on 2001 Chevrolet Astro?

To replace the alternator, disconnect the battery negative cable and remove the air cleaner assembly. Take off the drive belt and disconnect the regulator electrical connector. Remove the generator mounting bolts and output terminal nut. Install the generator, connect the output lead, and tighten the bolts. Reconnect everything.
