How to replace the Automatic Transmission Shifter for the automatic transaxle (AT) on 2001 Buick Regal?

In order to change the shift control with the automatic transaxle, the front floor console, console wiring harness and console shift control wiring harness need to be removed. Unscrew the range selector and park / lock cables and remove the console shift control. Install the reverse way up until all is firmly installed.
