  A: To service the mass air flow (MAF) sensor you need unplug the negative Battery Cable at first. Treat the maf sensor with great care and avoid dropping it or scratching make sure to not scratch the screen at the air inlet end; do not touch the sensing elements and do not allow the elements to come into contact with solvents and lubricants. Apply a little spo p/n 12345884 lubricant or soap-based one for ease of installation. The maf sensor should be disconnected from the air cleaner cover and air cleaner outlet duct using loose hose clamps. In the installation process, confirm that the embossed arrow on the maf sensor goes to the engine to signify the right air flow in the direction. Screw-in the maf sensor to the duct of the air cleaner, then the air cleaner cover by using clamps that are tightened up to 4 n.m (35 lb in). Lastly, reconnect the maf sensor harness connector and the negative cable of the battery.
