How to replace the rear tail light on 2000 GMC C2500?

If you want to replace the tail/turn signal lamp, make sure to get the headlamp switch in off position and the endgate lowered. There should be screws that hold the tail/turn signal lamp assembly to the body which you should remove. You will find the bulb that you need to change. Lift the socket assembly with the bulb housing (I) by turning the socket assembly right and left to disengage the bulb during each step. Then, plug in the new bulb to the socket, and place the socket back on the housing, turning it to lock it. After that, mount the tail/turn signal lamp assembly to the vehicle using the screws, properly tightened with 2 n.m (18 lb in). Finally turn the endgate to close it and check if the lamp works properly.
