How to service and repair the 4WD Actuator on 2000 Chevrolet Suburban 1500?

To service and repair the Transfer Case Actuator, dislodge the shields on the transfer case and fail to disconnect the connectors on the wiring harness. Unscrew the bolts connecting the motor/encoder, and leave the rubber gasket. Install the motor/encoder with gasket and make sure it is aligned and then reconnect the wiring harness and the shield.
