How to service the EGR valve on 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

When maintaining the EGR valve, switch off the ignition switch and loose the electrical connector. Take off the retaining nuts and the EGR valve and then remove the gasket. Reattach the electrical connector, replace the gasket and screw the EGR valve using the retaining nuts.
