How to replace the piston, rod bearing in an engine on 2000 Chevrolet Lumina?

To install this, the piston, connecting rod and bearing, unscrew the cylinder head(s) and rotate the crankshaft, aligning the piston. Take away oil pan, oil pump and crankshaft oil deflector. Take out connecting rod and piston, clean off cylinder bores and put in new parts paying attention to correct alignment and lubrication. Lastly, replace the oil deflector, oil pump and oil pan.
