  A: First, remove the left side instrument panel insulator panel to adjust the cruise control release switch. Fully press the Brake Pedal, it will make sure the cruise control release switch and the stoplamp switch are adjusted together, otherwise, possible incorrect adjustment will cause wrong working of cruise control system. Press switches all the way in up to retainers, then pull Brake Pedal all the way to to the pedal stop until audible clicks stop. Check the correct Brake Pedal travel specs: the cruise control release switch and stoplamp switch contacts should be opened at 3.5-12.5 m (1/8 - 1/2 in) brake pedal travel, measured at the Brake Pedal pad's centerline; and the nominal actuation of the stoplamp switch contacts should be around 4.5 m (3/16 in) after the Cruise Control Switch contacts' closure. Finally, reinstall the left side instrument panel insulator panel.
