The access to the cmp begins when powering down the Power Steering Pump then removing the electrical connector from the sensor while unfastening the bolt so you can remove the sensor. Assess the sensor for deterioration along with checking for breaks and moisture leaks during inspections that do not contain sensor replacement. After cleaning the o-ring with engine oil you should install the sensor but replace a damaged o-ring before installation. Put the Camshaft Position Sensor in place before you fasten its retaining bolt with 10 n.m torque (88 lb in force).
