How to service and repair the starter motor on 2000 Chevrolet Express 3500?

In order to service starter motor, remove the negative cable of the battery and lift the vehicle up. Un-bolt the starter motor brackets and un-bolt the wires of the solenoid. Removethe starter motor, and make sure to install it again, attaching the wires, and fitting the brackets. Reduce the car and re-attach battery.
