How to service and repair the idler arm on 2000 Chevrolet Express 3500?

In order to maintain the idler arm, lift the vehicle and support it. Unattach the idler arm assembly without damaging the seal. Take out the nut in the ball stud and open the arm with a puller. Clean and wipe the ball stud, reconnect and tighten the assembly back.
