  A: To remove the hood primary latch release cable, lift the vehicle and remove the front wheelhouse rear filler panel to reach the latch in case the Hood Cable is inoperative. Push the latch off with a long screwdriver then remove the right and the left hood latches then pull out the Hood Cable from them. Then, unplug the Hood Cable from the retainers on the plenum panel and reposition the cables so they slide nicely through the opening in the dash panel. Take the cockscrew with which you release the screw within the Hood Cable handle, go ahead and take it off, then the one underneath the surface in the dash panel take also and end up with the hood cables on through the exit on it. For the installation run the cables through the dash panel opening and through the retainers on the plenum panel and connect to the latches. Position the latch handle and fix it to the door by inserting the screws tighten to 2 n.m (18 lb in). Insert the cable grommet through the slits of the carpet insulator into the dash panel and then install the latches and tightening the mounting bolts to the key of 10 n.m (89 lb in). Finally, connect the Hood Cable into the retainers and test the latches functionality.
