How to service and repair the pitman arm on 2000 Chevrolet Astro?

Raise vehicle, remove and discard prevailing torque nut from connecting-rod ball stud at pitman arm. Use steering linkage puller to detach rod, lower vehicle. Remove steering gear, nut and washer, mark pitman arm and shaft, pull arm, inspect and clean threads and seals. Reinstall parts aligning marks, tighten new nuts, lower vehicle.
