  A: The replacement process starts with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable from the battery. Afterwards remove the accessory Drive Belt and the Radiator. Use a wrench to disconnect and remove the retaining bolt which secures the generator cooler outlet hose to the generator device. There are two operations to perform before you begin with the generator replacement. First disconnect the generator cooler inlet hose from both the generator and electrical connections which extend to the regulator, battery output and heated windshield (if present). Remove the generator bolts (1, 2) after initially loosening the lower bolt. Take the generator out of the vehicle. During generator assembly keep the unit on engine position and use the correct fasteners at proper locations according to specifications. Secure generator bolts 1, 2, 3 with 50 n.m of torque (37 lb ft). First tighten the battery output cable to 13 n.m. (115 lbs in) while reconnecting generator electrical connections. Then attach the generator cooler outlet hose to generator and its inlet hose to generator . Tighten the outlet hose bolt into place using 9 n.m. Pressure (80 lb in torque). Reinstall the Radiator then fit the accessory Drive Belt before reattaching the negative Battery Cable.
