How to service and repair the thermostat on 2000 Buick LeSabre?

To service the thermostat, empty the cooling system, remove the engine cover. Unscrew inlet radiator hose clamp using Spring Hose Clamp Pliers and remove the bolts of the hose and thermostat housing. Clean the surfaces, reset the thermostat and housing back with new gasket and refill the cooling system.
