How to service and repair a water pump on 2000 Buick Century?

To perform maintenance on the water pump, drain the coolant, take off the drive belt guard and loosen the water pump pulley bolts. Unscrew the drive belt and also water pump and gasket. Wipe down the surfaces, replace the gasket and water pump, tighten the bolts and replace the drive belt. Lastly, fill up the cooling system and look after leakage.
