How to Replace the Front Rack and Pinion Steering Gear on 2000 Buick Century?

To take the place of the rack and pinion, lift and hold the car, take off the tire, and disconnect the intermediate shaft. Unscrew the steering shaft pinch bolt, loosen the shaft and strip off tie rod ends. Reduce the frame, de-boss steering power lines and take out the rack. Install new rack, fasten lines, assemble frame, re-assemble, and make alignment.
