How to replace the rear liftgate hinge on 2000 Buick Century?

In order to change the rear compartment lid hinge, open the rear compartment, and label the location of the hinge. De-mount the hinge harness and take off the struts and the hinge nuts. Identify the quarter panel hinge, take out the bolts and put in the new hinge. Install the struts once again and change the lid height.
